Roll up roll up quad bike cheap

I do the auctions a bit looking for  good buys ,( which very infrequently happen!) and just had to show someone this .

I have seen some real crap auctioned up over the years but this really does take the cake , I bloody pissed myself.

I really like how they have taken the time to show you some different angles, almost like , oh look,  that side may have a bolt I can use!

oh and the cracker , odometer.. not visable, and color ...burnt!

Trying to out fish my mates

My mates have gone on a fishing trip to poison creek that I couldn't attend due to work commitments so I told them I would attempt to out fish them on the metro front While they are away so today I caught some big cod on stickbaits a 58cm tailor on stickbaits then on bait I got tailor, cod, small mulloway a wobbygong and a heap of kilo bream tonight. I think I'm off to a good start. Kept 1 tailor and 1 bream every thing else released

Assassin Land Based Fishing Club Competition Report

The latest competition was held south of Perth at Whitehills last weekend, the weather and beach conditions were good but fish were elusive for most of the competition.
Good catches of Tailor were usual as the sun went down mixed with Eagle Rays , Shovel nose and Black Rays. A total of 22 fish were caught during the competition .
Black Rays have now become a protected species and need to be returned unharmed to the water and no longer count for points.

Results on the day were 1st place Andy
2nd place Dave
3rd place Matt

Well done boys , not a lot of fish about but if you put the effort in . you get the rewards.

Next comp will be north of the river , please check your emails and reply promptly.

Ps Winners photos will look better if everybody wears the club shirts ;-)

Regards Vince

Conditions any good for Wagoe?

Scored Friday off so I'm thinking of heading solo to Wagoe for the W/E. Seabreeze is showing Gero at 22knt SSE and up to 2.5m swell. Is it likely to be ok at Wagoe? I know big swells can make the reefs up there unfishable and as I'm driving from Mandurah I didn't want to waste my time. Might be possible to baloon Sunday morning? I know if the reefs are crap I can duck south to Lucky Bay but any advice appreciated. Cheers

Beach fishing locations

Anyone know any good spots for beach fishing in Perth? also what type of bait is preferred, all i have in my freezer is mullies at the moment

Radio control boats. Not fishing related

How many of you guys own a rc boat and what do you have. Good way to fill in some time now and then. This is the dragon mini cat 820ep twin brushless motors and two 3s lipos.

Good for 40 mph. Have read on forums that with esc, motor and prop upgrades they are getting 66 mph out of this hull. Interested to see what others have. There must be a few out there.

Stradic or Quantum Cabo

hey guys,

I know this topic has been hammered but just looking for some advice.

purchasing a new rod n reel combo for lure chucking off the cliff at falsies (anual trip in march), pretty much decided on the Shimano t-curve revolution 902h but cant make up my mind on the reel to match. local supplier has suggested a Quantum Cabo 60 or Stradic 8000, wondering what everyones thoughts might be??

Inclement weather surf casting

 Hi all,

just wanted to see what people use rig wise of the beach when the wind is against them (litterally haha.)

Stubbornly went for a fish on Friday evening in the 15-20knkt WSW'er and was losing about 30-40% casting distance due to a single drop paternoster rig flailing about in the breeze.  I have thought about pulley rigs and running sinker rigs but thought I'd see what the general consensus was to combatting inclement weather in the surf.

PS.  Mainly chasing tailor in these instances with any by catch a welcome addition.

cheers

Have taken my son to pinnaroo point a couple of times with no luck.

Shore Jigging Rod

Hi All

Was hoping to get some opinions on shore jigging rods you have used or own.

I'm not too interested in rods over $400 as they go beyond my budget.

Cheers

Sam

lost a crab net in Hillary

 Hi all

I'm a new member, so I'm hoping to learn a lot about metro fishing and crabing. For starters, I managed to snag my new crab net in Hillarys so I'd appreciate some advice on how to get it out, it is very close to shore and I could basically hop in and get it, but is this allowed, safe? It's well out the harbour as such.

Good fishing mates

North mole mackerel

Thought I'd share my first Mack from North mole, still buzzing! Caught using a 9ft samaki zing, Shimano symetre 4000 running 20 lb and a 45gram Spanyid maniac

North mole beach fishing ??

If you look on google maps at north mole drive, you will see a 90 deg right turn next to a beach that goes onto strait away. I was wondering if it was worth fishing on that beach with a 6-8 lb rod and a 8-10 pounder.. Both 7.5foot. I bought Julie's today an wa gonna try richer lures on bigger rod.

What do ppl think.

The latest club competition was held north of Perth on Saturday and while fish numbers were down, some big fish were caught.
The species caught included Shovel Nose Sharks, Black Rays , Tiger Shark ,Tailor, Garfish and Eagle Rays.

Congratulations to Manie on his win and for pipping me at the post with his big Black Ray, his fight was much longer and a well deserved result.

Some weights were Black Ray 106.6 kg
Tiger Shark 103.8 kg
Shovel nose sharks of 13.8 and 19 kg
Eagle Ray 10kg

Results on the day were Manie Bekker 125.6 pts

Mindarie Marina/Quinns Beach

 G'day,

I am new to Fishwrecked but just moved up to Butler area about a year ago. After not fishing for ages ive stripped my reels and got everything working nicely again and am keen to drop a line in the quinns/mindarie area. Ive got a few questions for you landbased crew:

- Has anyone fished the beach right near Quinns Beach Surf Life Saving Club/Portofino's restaurant? I went for a beach walk there yesterday and its looking awesome, clear deep gutters and no weed. What do you normally catch there? looks like a decent whiting spot. is quinns dog beach a better option?

- What is the inside of the mindarie marina like? is it worth giving it a miss and just hitting the outside wall? ive seen a few people fishing there but catching mainly blowies which doesnt interest me in the slightest.

- I know herring are everywhere but does anyone know any decent herring spots around quinns/mindarie? I'm going to be buying a fish smoker and apparently the herring come up trumps in it.

- Last but not least but has anyone had much luck with fishing with those Gulp Maggots? the herring love nomal maggots but i wouldnt mind trying the gulp ones that soak in their secret juice. Im really keen to target herring...underated fish i reckon but maybe ill change my mind if i ever catch a mulloway!

Cheers and tight lines!

As a newbie to WA what is E Shed please

As above, I hear of these places but don't know them...

grant st gummy

G'day guys,

I have been to Grant st a couple of times this week and have been doing really well with a heap of tailor, bream and some decent flattys. Walked down there again last night and was very happy to pull a small gummy from between a couple of reefy sections. Firs metro gummy!

Daiwa Lateo Pirates 106 and 110 rods - Opinions wanted

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum and I'm seeking your feedback about the Daiwa Lateo Pirates rods in the 106 and 110 lengths.   I've never spun off a beach before and I want to primarily target Australian Salmon and Mulloway with a variety of lures - I'm thinking in the 20 to 70 gram range but I'm open to advice in this respect.   I love fishing light but I don't want to go too light in case I hook something out of the ordinary.  I'm thinking of the Lateo 110MH because of its advertised casting weight range and line rating (20 to 60 grams and line weight 7-15kg).  Incidentally, I'm thinking of marrying this up to a Shimano Sustain 5000.   I'm interested to hear your experiences with these rods and whether my envisaged set-up is close to ideal.   As I said, I'm open to suggestions and advice.  Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Wayne

Seascapes beach

Recently moved into a house near Seascapes beach (Near the IGA), been fishing the beach a bit, found a few small Mulloway there. Pretty small, maybe around the 30 - 40 cm range (Returned to the water, obviously), just wondering if it's normal for smaller ones and bigger ones to be in the same place at the same time? Sounds like a stupid question maybe, but I grew up fishing for flathead in the eastern states and found that where you catch small flatties you never find big ones.

Also, it's pretty weedy around there, even short casting into the sandy gutters I seem to find an awful lot of weed, which makes life a lot harder. Anyone got any good tips for minimising the lumps of weed brought into the shore? About the only way of avoiding the weed seems to be fishing unweighted mulies, but the wind doesn't always allow it...
