The closest place to park is

The closest place to park is next to the museum there (paid parking 8am to 8pm I think) and you can fish on most of the wharf in front of the museum except for the parts painted bright yellow and have NO FISHING written on them.

 That's the eshed markets

 That's the eshed markets there

" rel="nofollow">

and here is where people fish. The yellow stripes at the markets which you can see is a no fishing zone because boats can come in there. But there is always people fishkng there anyway, and I havnt seen anybody get fined for it and havnt even seen fisheries or anything policing that.

people pretty much line the the front of eshed markets all the way to the end of the warf. But the best fishing is definately infront of the eshed itself.

Take two

Outfits tassy, smaller one with the little bait catcher rigs, use poland to land blue mackeral, keep these for future trip as well so if you dont get any thing bigger youve gain some bait.

Then use a larger outfit to keep a livie or big bait out. Plenty of big mullaway caught there at the right time of the year.

You really want to catch some bait, cheaper and best....use live if possible, take ya mulies and squid....as a general rule biggist bait for big rod yea. Dont think you would have much use for lures..but you never know what could come through there so by all means go prepared...better to be looking at it..than for it.

Big bait on the bottom...running bean or star sinker depending on current....meter or so of leader to snelled big hooks if you can. Mulies wont last long due to crabs and small pickers so any bye catch live or filleted is best.

Use your smaller set up with a patanoster rig...small hooks..long shanks if you have then...small piece of mulie..no sinker..swivel is enough, let this sink naturally for the smaller fish.

Nice night for it..good luck it may be busy.
