 What fish is this guys? Caught in about 140m off tantabiddi.

On a recent trip to coral bay the guys staying next to us pulled this thing from the depths 360m, just interested to see if anyone has any idea? looks like a sucker on the underside but took a large bait.. it was rock hard all over and a hard clear plastic cover over the eyes

 No pictures for this, but i was swimminmg a sail alonside when I noticed a white tail hanging out from his gill plate. Pulled on it, and a pure white, soft-bodied fish slid out, perhaps 75 mm in length. Flattened body with mouth set under. He slid off the body and was gone. As we continued to swim the fish, who eventually released well, the same thing happened again. what would they be, and how many could a sail support without ill-effects? Assuming they latch onto blood-rich  membranes in the gill area to feed.

 Caught a Mahi off Ningaloo recently. They were hanging along a tideline not far out. Stomach contents consisted almost entirely of these little crustaceans, plus one small  fish . shot of one one knifeblade added for scale.

 Caught this little guy of mindarie today in 30 meters. Cant say ive seen one before. Anyone know what it is?

Caught this little guy off the beach up at Shark Bay - just wondering if anyone can tell me what model it is? 

 My son (9yo) and I are newbies to fishing! We are in Carnarvon at the moment and caught this fella down at the fascine but threw him back because we didn't know what it was. I'm thinking an emperor of some sort due to the shape? I could be way off track, and the fisheries book that we have just doesn't seem to have it. It was just shy of 30cm. I'm sure one of the pros here will know!

What are your thoughts on this one? Caught in Perth today, 2 in a row. Bit nervous to bring it back in as couldn't be sure.

Is it baby spangled, blue line or is it a blue spotted?

If blue spotted it would have been size (29cm).

 Got him yesterday in 35 m off tworocks never seen one like it before

 I caught this fish out wide today and not sure what it was. We were in 300m of  water and it did not have any baratrauma. It swam away rather quickly upon release. Could someone please tell me what fish it is/was.

The photo isnt much to go off but the old lady took this pic of a fish head on a beach in Point Sampson.

Any ideas on what sort of fish it is?

 Hi everyone, fishing at castledare miniature railway and hit a school of these caught about 7 in a row trying something different, using a float.  I thought they might be a relation to trumpeter because of the stripes.

 Hi guys, here is a tuna we caught last week down the bottom of Exmouth gulf in about 2.5m of water. The photo isn't that great, but it has pointed teeth, spots on the top half, stripes on the bottom half, and long tassels from he dorsal fin. It was only about 300mm long.... An id would be great! Been enjoying the website for a while and have never got around to signing up (until now anyway!). Hoping someone on here can help me with an ID on a fish caught last weekend. I cant recall ever being completely stumped on a fish ID before, but this is definitely something I've never come across. Looks like a buff bream crossed with a red snapper to me but hoping someone can give me an actual ID! Got him off Rockingham.

 Western wirrah?

 Hey landed and released this today. Who knows what it is? I know it wasn't a coral trout but it had similar blue spots

 I caught this little fella yesterday and my first thought was that it looks like a gemie, only problem is I caught it in about 40m of water while jigging for snapper.

Someone suggested a barracouta, so I'm not to sure now.

If it helps it was caught off the nsw mid north coast.
