 Caught this out in the sound today - is it a wirrah?

Any ideas ? Was caught in 90 metres out from Rockingham. The fish was very rough to the touch, not at all slippery

Fellow in the Club I'm in caught this Flathead in around 300 metres off Ocean Reef.  It was just shy of 2kg.  It's not in any ID books I have, but I did see a Fisheries Research video with the underwater baited cameras and saw what they referred to as a Deepwater Flathead.  I'm guessing that's what it is.

Anyone able to confirm?

i caught this a few years back in exmouth in the gulf and never really knew if it was a bludger or gold spot? almost looks like a skippy too?

Caught this off Denham,
Was a tad over 2kg's and 62cm long.

Is it a fringe eye (Cymbacephalus nematophthalmus)? 
or something else? There are plenty of similar flathead.....

 caught at floreat drain on a whiting/herring rig

I'm assuming these guys are pretty common as I picked up a couple of them. About 400-450mm in length.

Don't have a Grants fishes to look him up.

Any ideas? Caught a couple of these and they were returned. Thought they may be Western Wirrah but didn't have any spots.

Caught a few of these out in the boat down in dunsborough. Can any one tell me what they are? We threw them all back.

One of them scraped a spike past the old mans finger and give him a bit of curry and a swollen finger.

 my freind caught this tonight and as soon as i saw it i thought it was a gobble guts  anyway he thinks its a soapy!!!!!! can someone please back me up or prove me wrong?

 I know these are common and no good eating, not really much good for bait either but does anyone know its correct name? My mates got a bet with someone and there is a carton of beer in the line so obviously stakes are high!

 I had never seen or heard of the fool's barra in 20-odd years of fishing perth metro. Then I read a thread on this forum identifying a picture of a fish as a "fool's barra". I kid you not, two days later, I was fishing at a location I have fished 30-40 times and the first fish I pull in a Fool's Barra. I couldn't believe it. Anyway,  can someone please help me with the species proper name?

We caught a couple of these the other day out in the 60m mark. originally i thought it was a much larger version of the small spotted cods the harrass us but on a closer look it was quite different

Very new to fishing and caught this fish but have no idea what it's called. Have searched and searched online and nothing looks anything remotely similar! Caught it at the cut in dawesville if that helps!

Looks like the illegitimate love child from a threesome between a whiting, a wrasse and a pirahna?

Same body shape as whiting, colours like a wrasse and a seriously large head/teeth for it's body size.

Caught near Garden Island a while ago. Needless to say it went back.
