Winch cable or winch rope

I snapped my winch cable today retreiving my 21ft Cobia on my electric winch.
I want to know if the winch ropes are any good ( 3000kg rating) or stay with wire.
Any advice would be good.

The spectra rope is great ive been winching up a 21 foot glass boat for 9 years and it has still not broken.

Go the rope way better than wire I've used the bigger stuff for pulling trees over, I'm running 12000kg rope on my winch works a dream

Get Dyneema or Spectra SK75
Get Dyneema or Spectra SK75 from Boating Hardware on Carrington St, or Yacht grot.
8mm Dyneema has a 6t break on it, 6mm has around 4t break. You can tie a knot in it though you lose 50% of the strength (worse case of will have 2t break so a knot will be fine). Costs a buck where compared to wire though it is worth it. Best part about it is no wire spikes, and if it breaks, no recoil!
If you want it spliced with a clip or hook, I can help with that, for free...

No brainer really one of best investments you will ever make on your trailer go the rope, available at all the boat shops for years and lasts a lot longer than wire

Get 8mm spectra double
Get 8mm spectra double braid. It will outlast your trailer.
