If the motor is being used a lot for your trip away it's not a problem as the salt doesn't get a chance to set. We go away every year for a couple of weeks and don't flush it . Just a good flush when home

I have worked for company with commercial vessels the live on moorings, these can go for up to 6 months or more without getting flushed, I often wonder with the hard water we have up north what is the greater of 2 evils?

My belief too Yewie. The calcium up north is worse than the salt. Best thing you can do is use the boat regularly and not leave it parked up.

i think one of the biggest issues is salt build up rather than corrosion (maybe i am preaching to the choir here) i bought a CC years ago that had a 225 Honda on it that the previous owner had obviously not flushed, i bought it on the basis it had a engine problem -the alarm would come on after idling for a few minutes and no water out the tell tale
impellor was fine but the whole block cooling galleries were just salted - we had to strip it down to clean and even after that the tell tale would get blocked with crystals after many flushes - i dont think it would happen quickly - but i would give it a really good flush with saltaway when you get back !
