Fishing destination advice

Hey guys/ladies
coming up is a long weekend, and me and my mates are super keen on heading north of Perth for a fishing weekend, never been much up north, doubt a 4wd will be available at the time and we are land based, Kalbarri is 6 hours, IDE love to go there again but mates are not that keen to go so far up, any recommendations For a reasonable fishing destination? Main target is tailor, mulloway, bigger things!
Any thoughts would be great, thanx

Tell your mates to harden up.
Tell your mates to harden up. Kalbarri is a great landbased fishing destination and well worth
the drive. There are numerous fishing opportunities from rock fishing, beach fishing and river fishing
and the area produces fish making the trip worthwhile.

+1 Kalbari
If not try dongara, produced some nice tailor / mulloway / sharks off the groin and beaches.

If my other suggestion doesn't do it for you then +1 for Dongara. Plenty of good fish there.

Yeh another for dongara. Was there at easter, a bunch of blokes at the end of the groin had 3 metre plus mullas, just using mulies on gangs as far as i could tell. This was before sunset too. Plenty of tailor there aswell, and im pretty sure you can get onto the beache in a couple spots between there and S-bend in 2wd

Wow
3 metre plus mullas. I would like to see just one off those.
Kalbarri is not that far, and for what you get can beat it. Leave at 3am, be there at 9. Start fishing at options +++. Tailor, Mullas, Bream, jacks etc etc. Beach, Rock, Eastuary, Jetties etc. Variety beats just sitting on a beach for the days.
If not just go to E shed. Its not that far!!!!!!!!!!

S bend. Good reef ledges to fish and you can get there in a car. Caught my first soapy there and saw a bloke haul up a nice Dhuie once. Awesome Tailor spot.
