World Heritage Listing

Adam as you are the guru in this part of the world, what are you hearing about this World Heritage listing and what is it going to do to the fishing accessibility in the region. How much of the area is going to be off limits to the Recreational fishermen or is it going to be an area just for the diving fraternity ???? I really hope this is not the beginning of the end of one of the states best fishing destination, it is the only place in WA where we don't have to travel 60- 70 kms to catch decent fish !!!

not sure

Not a lot of info going around on it up here mate.  There's definately bag limit and possession cuts coming, just not sure when.  How DEC will take this extra power, who knows.....  Its still another 12-18 months apparently before they make the decision on it being a WHL location.  Personally I don't really see it increasing numbers much, we have Shark Bay just down the road which is listed and I'm pretty sure any tourist going that far then realises that there's whale sharks and awesome coral not far up the road.  Will keep you posted as I find out more.
