LAND BASED SQUID
G'day all, just after some advice so I was fishing a local Rockwall earlier in the year for squid and doing ok, not smashing it but 3-4 most sessions 2-4hours usually, so I decided to try and step it up abit recently and purchased a new rod and reel (emeraldas 2500 and a lox Egi rod) it casts like a rocket but Ive gone for 15lb braid fg to 16lb fluro leader, instead of 8lb like some guys. So I've got about 16 jigs in various sizes and colours but just wondering if anyone had any tips for working the jigs or go to jigs I might need? So basically I run in this order and this might help some newbys. During the day I run my natural colours first I'll usually start with a 2.5 if it's not too windy and do three casts one to the left one straight and one to the right, if nothing I switch to a white jig then black then fluorescent colours. If something gets a bite I'll stick with it for 20 mins or so. If I don't get anything after say half an hour I'll move. So basically what I know it do a sideways flick for a bait fish imitation and a straight lift for prawn. What else can I do to take it up a notch?! Few pics so you can see what I'm running.
