Match the hatch- placcy vs eel

Match the hatch- placcy vs eel

I found a bit of reef today while chasing sailfish and my first and only drop I pulled this fella up on my placcy. I was lucky to get him in with a good 6' of shark hot on his tail and once onboard the trout coughed up this 30cm eel- check it out next to my placcy. The match was a fluke as I've never seen these eels before.

No sashimi matey, we just knocked off a few macky kebabs and potato salad so the trout is now frozen for another night.

I thought it was an eel Jay, it had the eel looking mouth but haven't seen a sea snake that small so can't be 100%. And the trout was around 55cm, the eel is 30cm.
