Saw plenty of schools on the sounder on the way out. Only small schools though. Only realy sounded around the one area. Keen to get out again and have a look before the ban kicks in.
I'll keep that in mind, I also forgot to say that as well as a deckie I would prefer to go out with a couple of boats (safety issues) for my first night trip. Greg (next door neighbour) and I keep talking about going out for a fish one night with both boats, but we never seem to get it together. So if some other boat owner in the NOR area wants to head out of Mindarie one night, maybe we can get a flotilla going.
I have a pretty good night spot close in shore off Mindarie where we have got good fish before but if weather real good wouldnt mind doing some deeper stuff!
Hey Gully are your spots inside staggies, because I have a few spots that fire in the daytime for Dhuies in between staggies reef and pamela bank/Quinns reef?

No didnt even get a bite. Found heaps of big schools but couldnt get them to feed. Very frustrating.

I still haven't gone for a night fish in my own boat believe it or not (in 5 years).
I keep threatening to do it but never get the time or the deckies to join me.

I got one pinky 4.5kg ish
I got one pinky 4.5kg ish went hard though in 15mtr's of water, heaps of skippy on 3" bass minnows and one horse eagle ray. ill post the pic up soon
