I have seen some tuna action from down that way on TV. It definately looks like a great place to visit.

are you living in the SE or Adelaide? I am a ex-pat South Aussie living in the west, most of my fishing was over on EP though. Gotta get down to Port Mac and chase some of those monster tuna sometime real soon.....

Nice size fish,Curious as to how far offshore and what depth you are chasing them ?

Would love to get them that size over here

What lures were you using out there ?

ay fellas cheers for the replys :)

as for how far out we head to the continental shelf its about 1 hr drive to get towrds good depths from 80  to 200 all way up to 1000+ metres teh furthe you go past it.

our fish wher caught at the 100m mark on that day

sometimes when the birds are workin we will get them closer in but on that day was very rough up to 40knots n 6 metre seas , i a 53 foot boat you still feel it. the lure used

wer black majic skirts with at different heads workd well

the best colors are green blue pink purple yellow and if there hungry tehy wil take anything. the one in the video i caught was the fish for the day. we troll 6 rods at a time and on tht drift we had 2 way hook up and as i was bringing in mi purple skirt on the retreiveal of bring it in so no line tanglers with teh hooked fish, a tuna smashd my lure so from 2 became 3 :) was a good day out very rough tho :)
