Couldn't tell you weather is worth repairing you will have to get quotes then decide.

As for preventing once and if you get it fixed.

first wash it thoroughly.....pinhole corrosion can sometimes be caused by some other drilled or welded material IE...stainless particles through the hull etc. get everything out.

once it's cleaned make sure it's earthed correctly IE an earth wire going back to batteries and not through hull.

Isolate the batteries each time after using

and periodically clean out the hull with fresh water IE if you get a bit draining from the bung each time you use it then put the hose up the bung and wash with fresh water.

Also doesn't hurt to give it a super wash once a year to clean every part of the hull out

 Cheers, I isolate the battery after every trip and give it a good wash on the outside and inside (not pulling up floor). how quickly its come about has surprized me.
