Caught today on a SP, thought it might be a coral cod.

Yeh, its a coral cod, just a bit darker red than normal.

Jay, that fish looks like one that I released last year, please send it home to Durban!
They are quiet common here and are very good table fair.

You get a lot of them in your cray pots at the abrohlos at certain spots
early to bed early to rise fish like hell and make up lies
