 IN broome they were the same (shitfish) as catching wrasse down south, you cant get away from them....only thing is flag taste lovely!

Yep, stripey seaperch (spanish flag)....3 outa 4 on the chew....also makes a good big spaniard livie.....i normally chuch em back!

I got told they were really slow growing fish and because of that they are usually one of the first to get fished out on reefs.  I reckon they are top notch and am always happy to get a few for the esky.

yeh thats a very nice size flag for sure! very nice to chew (same as the jacks fingermark red emp ect ) and good fun on light gear in shallow on small divers and SP's... as beer drinker said but many a good spaniard has been taken on a flaggie! top livey
