Yeh I would say a QLD grouper as well.  Before the lynch mob move in, it may be an honest mistake (which is easy enough to do).

 Nice fish! Never seen one underwater yet but the juveys are very pretty from the shots ive seen in mags and on vidz. Fully protected also arnt they? That was just a question too not a accusation as some on here would have it!

What did u get him on scizzors? What est weight?

Didn't eat that one was not sure at the time what it was, we had plenti of finger mark in the bucket by that stage of the day.

 

It was caught on the yellow hand line in the photo just on squid, weight approx 22KG,

The record size is about 270kg, but its no longer kept as they're fully protected. They have been seen at lengths to 2.7m, and estimated at 400kg.
