Pulled this tasty little sucker out of 1.5m of water on the light gear and a mcarthy plastic. fried up well on the plate that night

i'm spewing that i've just realised how many trout can be had from the shallows. in my last two trips out to the islands i've got about 25 in the boat with about 8 legal size and 4 coming home for dinner. had another one last night for tea. the deepest i've been fishing in is 4m.

sssssshhhhhhhh... they are the most fun in the shallows imo because they have so many chances to ping you on the coral.
