My brother was charged years ago from fishing the hot water outlets at the power station,,it said no public access and he climbed throuh a hole in the fence.
He told the judge he is not the public but a fisherman,,the judge dismissed the charges ,lol
Actually you can still get out there to the first landing "platform" still a good spot for crabs and mulloway. seing when your on the beach your not casting over 100mtrs out.

remimded me of when as kids fishing out the end we would ride the bikes in helter skelter to dods fish and chip shop , get 20 cents worth of chips,enough to feed 2 of us and ride back out to the end whalings where we fished
can even rememebr the ships being tied up out there at the end in the early 70s , did a visitor tour on the diamantina i think it was back then tied up out the end
