Scoop looks neat, the area below your transom plate not so much - i would be painting that with gelcoat/flow coat to stop water ingress over time
You have lost me....where??
it looks like in the picture there is "raw" fibreglass below the engine mount- possibly from a previous install or engine being moved higher - by raw i mean gelcoat rubbed off -

I think that is the anode on the outboard.
I did then the best that I knew how. When I knew better, I did better.
It's an anode !

Zinc Anode
