Busso Sambo

Busso Sambo

Here's a little Sambo I managed to tame yesterday out near 4 mile reef Busso.  First run stripped 200m of 30lb off my Stradic FI 5000.  Had to chase him for a while to get some line back.  20 odd minutes later, managed to get him onboard for a few quick photos before a successful release.

Gear used : Shimano Terez 15-30lb rod, Shimano Stradic FI 5000, 30lb Suffix 832 braid, 40lb leader, 1/2 oz nitro elevator jighead with a Z man 9" Shimmer Pearl Grubb.

Held up a treat mate!  Stradic struggled for a little while though.  200m peeled off very quickly!

Nice work Wazza. Those Sambos

Nice work Wazza. Those Sambos go hard in that shallow water. Thank god there are no big reef structures.

Got one around the same size on my Stradic 3000FJ with 10lb braid. They have so much power for little reels, so awesome.
