Which braid is best?

 Hey guys,

I have recently put a Shimano T-Curve and Daiwa Oceano on lay by.  The rod is 20-30lb and i want to run 25-30 lb braid on it.

Im very new to braid fishing and dont have much of an idea on what would be some of the more reliable brands.

I've looked at Power Pro and Sufix so far, but any reccomendations would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

I run powerpro and i quite like it, but there is better out there.

I'm pretty sure 99% of people will say Saltiga Boat Braid for that work, not sure if you can get it that light though

Accudepth is amazing stuff. Running 20lb on my Sustain 4000, never given me any problems, no wind knots and has landed all manner of oceanic beasties.

I've got 20lb Sunline on my Stradic for a year now and it has been superb. Will try some 30lb accudepth on the spare spool though.

Power pro is pure evil, and Sufix is like fencing wire. But thats my opinion only!

All of the ones recommended are good options though, sunline, daiwa etc.

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:

n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or

n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

Fins for me also. My LTS in Balcatta does it off a big spool so you only pay for what your reel holds. Fins = value for $ IMO

im running power pro,

Mon, 2012-03-05 03:13

im running power pro, sunline, rovex, daiwa boat briad, daiwa accudepth, suffix, berkley whiplash, finns and have also used spiderwire in past (horrible stuff back then).

the best pics are both daiwa braids and the sunline feels nice to but maybe not quite as nice as either daiwa braids.

pay for a bulk spool of suffix and you will regret it, just get what ya need of daiwa and you wont look back.

im sure theres a couple more options but the price just keeps going up, i was hesitant to use daiwa and sunline but to be honest with ya was money well spent, i have 2 bulk spools of suffix and will only come in handy if i get spooled and need it as an emergency.

my next purchase in 20lb will be daiwa accudepth without a doubt.

Cheers
