No one wants to or can deckie??

This post may be frowned upon by most but here goes.

Spoke to mate 1 yesterday at bbq and was put out there nice weather big day fishing tomorrow, maybe is the call from him but today he's hung over also has to pick up a couple of pool tables tomorrow and his wife is sick so he has the kids... fair enough.

Mate 2 is already going fishing with his dad.

Mate 3 just went sleep so have to wait and see if he wants to when he wakes up.

Mate 4 has no license like me so cant really help. (although he is still keen to come)

Brother isnt interested as he's a lazy %$#@.

Dads just gone on holidays.

Brother in law also did not seem interested.

Mate 5 is away working.

Cousin is away working.

Mate 6 has no drivers license or fishing gear so would be of no use to me only a burden.

Never been so hard to go fishing in my life.

What a joke.

"EDIT"

Sorry guys this isnt me looking for a fw deckie although im sure theres heaps of great people/deckies available here, its more of a whinge all my mates and family are busy or away and i cant get the boat to the water alone.

i know till ;)

but was more so talking about mates and family.

unfortunately im sceptical about fw members due to a bad experience and the few i would consider (judging by their posts) are much more level headed people than myself and may not enjoy a day on the water with myself.

Why not

Sun, 2012-03-04 14:51

put a deckie offer on here?

There's alot of keen fisho's (like myself) who arn't lucky enough to own a boat and appreciate the offer to fish with other guys.

Sun, 2012-03-04 14:54

You've lost me mate.

Do you have a boat but no licence?
Do you have a big boat & don't want to go alone?
Do you have no boat but want to go fishing on a boat.

I just dont understand your post.

Sun, 2012-03-04 15:52

i have access to a 5.2 stacer 90 etec

i have access to a leeder tomcat 240 (not quite ready to take out yet though)

i have access to a landcruiser to tow the boat.

i dont have any available close friends or family.

i dont have a drivers license but do have a boat license.

i would fish alone if i could get the boat in the water.

someones getting aggro

Sun, 2012-03-04 18:11

seems with your attitude no one would want to go out with you how do you expect people to know what you do or dont have access to if you dont fill in your PROFILE it's been said plenty of time before fill it out you may get more favourable responses.

wheres the aggro?

did you miss the edit in my post or my response to till.

and yeah fishy people like yourself im sure ide rather fish alone or with people who know me... or even have a sense of humour similar to my own.

for your benefit and the sake of repeating myself this is just me having a sulk about the fact most of my friends are away working, have family commitments or are on holidays, it wasnt an invite for fw members to come fishing with me and thanks to comments such as yours theres less and less chance of that happening.

Cheers fishy and enjoy your fishing.

My bad for assuming people knew what i was talking about, but i wasnt having a go before was merely stating what my situation was.

i apologise if it came off as "aggro" but i assure it was not.

All cleared up now,

Mon, 2012-03-05 20:19

All cleared up now, thanks.

Reason I asked is I have similar problems.

Love fishing, but dont go as often as I'd like to because I'm usually solo.

People always want to come fishing but never at a moments notice.

When you do take em & they dont catch fish they dont want to come again.

No aggro intended.

Yeah mate no probs, i think

Mon, 2012-03-05 20:35

Yeah mate no probs, i think fishy may have lost something in translation, i honestly didnt know what he was going on about, all i was doing was answering your question, sorry if it was a bit blunt.

And i ended up taking a couple of non fishing mates out and had a total shocker of a day, wanted some action before i go to exmouth friday but i shouldn't have even bothered, did manage to jig up a small 10kg sambo and land a 45cm pinky on a 3ft uglystick with a tiny abu garcia cardinal and 6lb braid which was quite amusing but really didnt put enough effort into the day and let my mates down, i know i could have got them more fish, maybe i shouldnt have stayed up drinking the night before

Figures with the avatar,

Donnie Darko is one of those movies you can watch time and time again and still see something you've missed till now. (directors cut is best for this).

Deckies - thats why I fish solo alot of the time - (but the licence things a bitch in your case I guess).

Cheers
