Best mono

Hey guys/girls, looking for peoples thoughts on mono, what's the best mono going around at the moment, or what's everyone using, looking at 50lb and 20lb suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks Rails8291

Lo stretch

There's probably better quality shit out there now but the old platypus lo stretch is really good. It's a light pink colour which is quite supple in the water too.

Orange

Lo stretch comes in orange and a clear also, I use it on all my bait beach fishing and like it.
Some people say it goes brittle, I have never had this problem so long as you treat it well and cut a bit off every now and then like all mono.

 Platinum was alrite for me,

Platinum was alrite for me, caught some decent fish on 4lb and when you consider how thin it is it's very strong.

Don't go Rovex, i dont like it at all, wasnt getting any knot strength out of itwhen compared to platinum.

Have a look at Asari

Have a look at Asari Pearl,

Japanese monofilament that i have previously used, i cant complain about it. A couple $ more than the average mono. In my opinion it had excellent knot stregnth, was reasonable to cast and seemed to be quite ressistant against pylons, rocks etc whilst not being overly thick.

I used it in 6lb.
