When cobia attack

Had a good day out with some nice big fish. Then the cobia came to the party along with loads of ramora.  Few big ones landed. 13 kg 11 kg 9 kg and 8 kg . They go bloody hard . Also released 3 others

Best thing about Cobes is when you try to net or gaff them.

We always have the plan to get them straight into the esky and subdue them/de-rig them in there then lid down asap. One clean motion from ocean to esky.
Orientation of esky critical!
Nice fish again Russ, you are smashing it!

Looks like you may be having a few days off.

Yeah a few days off now . Swell gone up .

Probably only 1 more trip out going by the weight of fillets we have. People in the park that can't go fishing are getting a share of the catch as well

Yeah they go hard Russ. I remember catching one off the bottom in about 15m in the Mackerel Islands. Certainly went a lot harder than the target species!
