What fishing are you going to
What fishing are you going to do with it mate? I have an 8000 which is a great size for heavier jigging down south & loving nothing more than trying to punish the ba-jeezarse out of that drag you will love it. The old boy also has one which he teams up with a T-Curve, IMO a waste but he only bottom bashes with it

All crap
those brands are all crap and will fall to bits or snap in no time. Considering you've spent nearly $1000 on the Stella it would be a disgrace to put it on a piece of cfrap like that.
Stick with known brands or recommendations from those who've used them.
You budget is pretty small for anything suitable for a Stella 8k. Perhaps go to a decent tackle store ie. Oceanside for some advise.

I know someone who bought a pelagic rod... they are what they are, cheap alternative to a good rod. Why didnt you buy a twin power and put the extra cash towards a better rod? Go for the best you can afford as long as its not a pelagic.

don't get too down buddy
if you bought a twinpower you would always want a stella and always regret it.
Get the best rod you can afford, that probably means getting something second hand. $200 second hand will get you a good rod.
The Fishing WA rods are reasonable about $200 as well. plenty of good rods other than shimano too. put a WTB on the for sale section and people will contact you.

I've looked at the tescata's
I've looked at the tescata's and trevalla's over ebay, they seem pretty good but until you get it you dont really know how well it will match your reel. The tescata is designed to work lucanas jigs i believe and the trevalla butterfly/knife jigs they can obviously be used for other purposes, also been watching shimano waxwings again purpose built to work shimano waxwing lures. I bought a daiwa saltist o/h rod 20/50lb to match to a shimano tyrnos 10 (i was to tight to fork out for a talica) its loaded with 450M of a 30lb power pro and it works like magic.

i have a t curve 200 matched
i have a t curve 200 matched to a torsa for drift baiting and such. it's not a bad rod
i matched my stella 8k to a power spell 250g , nice combo
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

If you are looking at
If you are looking at importing a rod, you could do worse than looking at something like a Majorcraft Crosstage. There may also be a distributor here, not sure if there is but certain some time on Google will tell you.
I loaded up the PE 3 and PE4 boat jig models last week, and thought they were solid pieces of kit. When you factor in the cost of the K guides that they run, the rod looks dirt cheap.
Would come in under $200 too I reckon.
Depends how heavy jigging you want to do though. The PE4 model is pretty versatile, but if you are looking for a barge sambo hauler, then probably not what you are after. Cant find one rod for all applications though!
Dan
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

Save your money for something
Save your money for something decent. As the other have said no point having a Stella and then putting a crappy rod on it.
I have a 8000sw pg matched with a JM Powerspell 200. Great combo that has stopped many a sambo.
Should be able to pick up a Powerspell for around $350 new at the moment with the new JM Titanium out.

With Seaquest
And there is another thread on here with the exact same question. The best answer on that one is why buy a lamborghini and put retreads on it. Fantastic analogy. I would save and get a good rod to match. Otherwise you wont feel the "power of the force".
I just got myself the 8000 SW, matched with a Samurai Jig 10 ( said the wrong name on the other thread). Certainly worth it.
