Well deserved and not unexpected.
But looking back at the Brownlow the last "not" on baller that won the Charlie was Scott Wynd from my recollections. Seem hardly fair IMO that you might be the best backman by miles, but will never get a look in.
In a fair systems surely ALL players on the field should have a fair go. Why note bring in a ratings system that has some weight added to certain possies to allow all to get a look at Charlie. Would be hard to work out, but we have stats dating back years and some mathematician surely can come up with a formula.

I guess when the ball travels through the center to get from end to end, the players in that area are going to get the most exposure to the umpires..
Probably twice as much as the end players ????

Us midfielders have to do all the grunt work to win the ball and deliver it to the forwards and provide an avenue out for the backmen. Wingmen winning an award for all the midfielder's hard work is what I get upset about
