Talica 8/10 2 speed vs Saltiga LD20/30 2 speed

Hey everyone,

What are your thoughts and experiences with the aforementioned overheads? I don't get out often enough to warrant several outfits so i'm setting up an allrounder overhead combo for driftbaiting, bottom bashing and trolling and have my eyes on these 2. I've read good things about the Talicas but not much about the Saltigas. I've picked up a FWA pe 3-5 300gm rod for a steal so rather than get a tld or saltist etc i've got a bit extra cash for something better. All opinions and thoughts much appreciated!

Cheers, Paul

hi mate,  I have a Talica 12 spooled with pe5. Good all rounder for bottom bouncing and sambo jigging. Solid build quality and a great reel. I have the single speed, never felt the need for 2 speed.

I have the Talica 8 and 12

I would recommend the 8. Holds HEAPS of line and is so light and robust.

Go for the 8!

I love Daiwa reels, but that Talica is as stong as a horse, I have the 12/ 2 speed, it is a beaut of a reel for a boat/
