danno id be more worried about your technique ... ive used the cheap ones for most of my life and got good results ... ive also used the "good" ones and got nothing... go squiding with someone like honsu and then you mighgt get a few.

I've always used cheap jigs,
I've always used cheap jigs, but I never used to catch a thing. Now i've changed my technique and can catch my bag limit using only cheap jigs. In my opinion its all about technique and choosing the right jig colour. The only problem with the cheap jigs is that the fabric comes off easily, so if you want a longer lasting jig then by all means get a higher quality one.

Danno i see you live in
Danno i see you live in Rockingham,,i would talk to the boys Compleat Angler on Dixon rd Rockingham , they have a big range and can assist you,,other wise try Michael at Safety Bay tackle,,usually the best mid range ones are between $20-$30 Harmitsu and Yo-zuri are good.
