Sounder and Tranny Choice, Lowrance HDS and Airmar M260/TM260 setup for fishing 400m +, Anyone seen, used or have this setup ?

Looking at an upgrade, from what the specs say, the above setup should be awesome, any feedback appreciated.

With many underwater electronics and transducers they state maximum depths and talk up the tech hype but it doesnt often deliver. As for max depth well you can half that and we here storys re; Lowrance not performing especially in deepwer water often.

Look at a Furuno package, you wont be disapointed.

look at the Furuno FCV 295

look at the Furuno FCV 295 with a 1kw tranny, thats the way I went.
It's cheaper than the new FCV1100, but still not cheap!
I would say the FCV295 which can deliver upto 3kw on the right tranny is the best rig for your needs
