Simrad NSE8

System setup with a NSE8 Head unit, BSM1, LSS2 Structurescan and Module, P66 Transducer.

These shots are from the swan, mainly tailor trolled up on mulies with a running ball sinker.  I have some shots of pylons under Canning Bridge and river markers that are pretty cool that I will try to find.

Of the transducers. Apparently I should have the LSS2 inboard, but with such a flat hull and such a narrow beam I just mounted it where I could.  I get pretty good soundings to 15knts on both transducers but if it is choppy the sscan gets choppy on the screen pretty quick.

Cheers.  That's about what I will do too, except my structure scan will be mounted inboard of the standard transducer.  I was reading online last night they should be no more than 300 mm apart to get the most benefit out of the down scan function :)

It is if you are going to record structuremaps of places you have been, if the trannys are too far apart it doesnt work correctly.  I know plenty of people who have mounted them on different sides of the hull due to trim tabs, marlin boards, ladders etc.
