Salmon Trout

In the slim chance I may catch one, and it's over 30cm.....do Salmon Trout taste OK??
Anyone tried one??

they taste ok jody ... just
they taste ok jody ... just cut all the dark red meat out of the fillets then fry it coated in flour ... nice thin strips as you really dont want to over cook it (dries up and goes tough) .. taste a bit like herring but stronger

Think they are all over ATM. Apparently they are a bit fussy tho.
How did you go, did you use lures or bait to catch them??

We had a few follows on lures
But they seemed to prefer half pilchards.
