I use 7 kilo on my usual setup to cast 55 gram twisty's at surf beach Salmon, though if the Salmon are coming in close I'll go down to 2-3 kilo bream tackle for fun. With this lighter tackle, I try find big profile/low weight lures like metal spoons or big lightly/unweighted Plastics.
15-20lb line is plenty if you're using a beach outfit, I usually use 50lb leader but can go lighter. 60 grams are good, but even bigger if you need to get out far, all depends where you're fishing.
last season i used 30lb line and 45lb leader and found it was come here gear i agree with goodz use 15-20 with 30lb leader, i used believe it or not a bottom bouncing rig wieght on the bottom and two sets of 3/0 gangs 30-40cm apart and a swivel to attach the leader to main, good luck mate there are lots of big salmon out there i got two above 75cm last year the first, the biggest at 87cm and landed with only 15min in the surf. have a blast its awsome i myself is waiting for the season.

I use a 30lb leader for them
I use a 30lb leader for them also, usually a nice soft type like Jinkai or similar.
Cheers
