fishing today (saturday) anyone eles go
went out fishen today, manly to give the new etec a work out......what an engine..could not be happier than a pig in shit.
was a very shitty day, with the wind blowing all day, but we still managed to get a nice size queen snapper, nanagi, another pb 67cm king george, a very nice blue fin tuna and numerous rock cod's and parrot fish.
we also got busted of a couple of times.
also nothing would touch the ocky at all, my mate had ocky on one hook all day. everything came of the squid
one thing to note , as we went past the 60 mtr mark out to the 100-150mtrs we got absoulety nothing, not even a bite, so we headed back in and started getten bites again.
it was a mission getten the baits past the birds today, bloody albatross trying to get in the boat and pinch the bait of the bait board, even with a little dong on the head with the net pole didnt phase him.
tried to put a livey out but the mutton birds were jumpin all over it....its amazing how deep they can swim.
cant wait to get the new donk out on a good day and get onto some dhu/snapper.

thats a good whiting 67cm and afue other great fish got to be happy with that and the etec worked well thats a + as well,i have only heard good storyies about those ,great report

bloody birds
lol its good to see i wasnt the only one getting annoyed with birds, was at black wall on saturday fishing tailor for swan fish and at one stage every time i cast out an unweighted white bait the bloody brids would take it lol both me and my dad were in stitchers from it my dad was laughing so hard he was crying and hooked up but was so hysterical nearly dropping the rod and unfortuantly loosing the fish lol.
bloody birds, amazingly annoying but good for a laugh
