Call me a sceptic

but I think I'd be very wary about buying one.  I recall glowing claims made by another manufacturer some time ago and these claims were supported by Recfishwest who may have given them a funding grant.  The said product was deemed useless by others who provided feedback on this site.

A bloke up here had one to try. They are rated to 50m and he tried it in something like 70 or 80m and killed it. They sent another one and it lasted a fair bit of the day and then gone. He thought they could be worth trying again. Too much money for me and the sharks are not that bad up here this year.

Full Report

Jus read the full report about their trial off Queensland.... You can get to it via a link from their website and I think there is a reason they don't paste the results upfront on the web page.... Certainly wouldn't convince me to invest in one thats for sure!

Sound a bit like a shark

Sound a bit like a shark shield..mixed results, as a general the shark shield deterred the sharks.

Add a wounded fish / blood in the water they swim through the zone and hit the target.

I know the system. I have

I know the system. I have been using the surfing product for over 6 years and am very happy with the product (still have both my legs ) but the best option when it comes to these products is to do your own research. It is all there on the webpage. Simply if you don't, you tend to get opions not based on facts. For example as above, this unit is not a magnet, nothing like those so i cant see the comparison. Also as for 50m rating well again if it was designed to that depth and used outside the manfuacture peramiters, then what would you suggest will happen. (I note the new product has a 100m rating). Also that fisherman discussed would have been using a pre-production test model you would suggest. For just that reason, alone to get some feedback to the makers.

As for price, its not cheap either, so i guess its not for everyone, but i guess its a option for those who want to land fish, espeically once the sharks have moved in.

Im not involved with the cpmany, but know the owner well and i can only suggest the best answer is for anyone to contact them directly, what can it hurt.
