repairing flying gaffs

On a recent trip to quobba i was gaffing a spaniard and a shark decided it was going to be his breakfast and grab it as the gaff hit it straighting one prong slightly i have tried to bend it back to where it was but know the gaff doesn't open properly when i use it, does any one know can they be repaired or is it better to just throw it away and get a new one?and if they can where?
thanks Mark

I dont know how you tried to rebend it, but you would be best dismantling the gaff, take the hook out and work with it with Hamer and anvil.
