Plastics at night and Hale rd Reef Snapper?

Hi all,
Looking to chase some snapper.
Obviously Cockburn is now closed for fishing. Is there much luck towards the North a bit?
I have fished the inshore reefs around Hillarys but it must be a nursery. Only juvenile, sub 35cm Snapper.
Also, how do plastics fare at night? Still aa effective?
