Upgrade to Shimano full carbon washers, you'll get a smoother drag & more pressure!

you can get the carbon ex up grade kit for them and can order through bluewater at melville although im sure ocean side or any of the other decent tackle shops will be able to help you out too.

I put a set of Erskine's

I put a set of Erskine's Carbontex in my 8000, when I ordered direct them they had the wrong measurements for the Spheros 8000 so I had to measure mine and they custom cut them. Only cost $15, very easy to fit but just take your line off the reel when removing the top plate as it tends to spring off.

The drag is pretty good now but remember it is still only a medium reel so don't go overboard. You may as well replace the drive gear bush with a bearing while you're going too.
I think Got One Woodvale has some bearings.
