The Vic

Good luck Brad.

Hope you time it right at the Vic. If you can be there just as the runoff is happening the fishing is awesome. Particularly 60 k's down stream from Timber Creek just above and below the Baines River junction.

Plenty of sandbars and big handbags but so be careful.

Thanks everyone,
BJ have heard about the bains mate, if you can get in the shallow mouth there are some big fish to be had. Will spend a bit of time around growlers rockbar and the crusifix tree as well.
We get to the vic the day the big horse classic finishes so it should be empty (fingers crossed).
Thanks everyone, see you with a bloody awesome story when i get back.

Lads - If you are coming down the Vc, as you hit the mouth of the bains there is a snaggy section for about 500m from the emouth up to a small drain/feeder creek. We were there at this time of year a few years ago and were getting triple hookups for three days straight. ALso if you can get across the shallow sandbars and rock bar a bit further up the fishing is fantastic as long as the river is clear enough (sadly not that often). Still my favourite ever fishing spot though, I am very jealous and may have to join you next year if the trip is on - its a long tow but well worth it.
