Mythical Tailor

Some people seem in doubt that these fish have been caught. While you have to take our word that they were taken from a popular metro location you can't doubt that the fish were landed. If need be I'll even post a pic of the combo I used to land them. The first photo is of my smallest fish for the night, that's a 1.5lt water bottle & an estimated 60cm fish. The second fish is estimated at around 70cm. The last fish I measured at home for 79cm & that's a big sink I've got it sitting over.

I thought it tasted ok bbq'd
I thought it tasted ok bbq'd with some lemon & garlic & I didn't hear any complaints from anyone else getting stuck into it. We were actually keen to release it but the biggest one had almost swallowed the gang right down (lucky not to get bitten off) & had given everything during the fight, we couldn't revive it unfortunately. Was 3.8kg on electric scales if anyone wants to know.

Thanks Buz. The big Tailor
Thanks Buz. The big Tailor are definitely out there, we've seen heaps lately but only hooked a few.
It's not fear of negative comments that stops me posting pics, it's just that I like to play my cards very close to my chest. The quieter I keep it the better the chances of me getting into more good fish.

If we all kept everything secret
This site would be pointless IMO. People will ask where you caught the fish but that's your business. Telling us about it and providing some pics provides for great entertainment and hightens our appetite to get out there and get better at it. It also acts as an information source for those who don't understand what is happening at different times of the year. A good example of this is the Salmon run and the Spaniard run in the metro area.

Tailor
Hey fossil and cardinal just to clear up I never doubted your captures on the other post as I said in reply to the pm email me a pic, one of my favourite methods of fishing is chasing greenbacks on poppers so I was keen to see your pics if you didn't want to post on a public forum.
Nice fish!

Vince, I never said that I
Vince, I never said that I like to keep everything quiet, just my recent captures. I'll post photos from time to time but I'm very carefull about what's in the background & usually I'll only post photos of older captures. General information I'm only too happy to pass along.
No worries Rig, you never really showed any doubts, I put the photos up in response to comments from another person that seemed to be questioning our integrity.

Thanks for the heads up mate.
Being an older bloke I am not sure my ticker would hold up with all the girls jogging up and down. Not to mention those muscular footballers in their short shorts
. Think I will stick to the more isolated spots....
