lowrance hds10

gday to all the oldschool fishwrecked members, yes i,m the new kid in the boat, well so what, just kidding, question is ive just upgraded to a lowrance hds 10 it would be greatly appreciated if i could get some helpful info on how to save tracks, routes ect to memory card so as i can save them to my pc,also what is the correct download for a navionics ,globalmap 4800 card, and finally as the hds 10 has 2 card holders how do i transfer data from card to card,is there any risks of losing any data on the navioncs card other than the boat sinking of course, cheers and remember,to be wise and old,you must have been young and stupid first,cheers................

Most of those answers are in your manual best way sit in boat with manual and go though it step by step that way you get to know it better then if stuck ask

Blank SD card

Don't use your navionics card for computer transfers- get a blank SD card and use that. press 'Pages' on the unit and then scroll to the utilities page (got the shifter and a cog on the screen)- you can then retrieve and save to your cards from there.

My navionics card came with a warning that any attempt to copy/transfer data will result in corruption of the card and render it usless so I would restrict any copying etc to your normal SD memory cards etc.

That's my only complaint with both my HDS 5's - the manual is very basic and does not cover much. but as above plenty can be found on the net.  have only taken it for a test run to date but otherwise impressed (would expect to be going from black and white to colour/broadband).

Cheers
