Launching from Bunbury

Will be launching the boat off Bunbury in a couple of weeks time. Was wondering where the best ramp is and roughly how far out do you have to head out to hit good ground

Bunbury Ramps
G'Day Brodie, the best ramp in Bunbury would be at the Powerboat Club just off Koombana Drive in the Leschenault Inlet, its open to public use has 2 lanes and washdown bays. Next popular ramp would be off Casuarina Drive in the Outer Harbour both these ramps are concrete have launching jetties and are in sheltered water. There is a good ramp in Australind on Old Coast Road next to the Service Station used for Estruary launching. I tend to fish in 25-30 metres but the word at the moment is good fish are being caught in 10-15 metres only 4-8kms off shore straight out from the shipping markers, there is reef North and South of the Harbour along the beachs, good luck.
Cheers Kev

Brodie, you can also launch
Brodie, you can also launch in the Collie river in Eaton (just upriver of bridge) and then head out through the cut. It might save you a bit of a drive if you are out that way. Just be a little careful going out through the cut as the swells can standup pretty steeply at some times. Also some shallow ground in the estuary, but nothing you shouldn't be able to handle.
