Island point reserve mandurah

Hey all. Took the grand kids to island point reserve this morning for their first go at crabbing and got there at 3 am to find the road gated off. Does anyone know why this is closed and is it a regular occurrence. Was there a couple of weeks ago with no issue.

im not sure if this is correct, but i think i may have read something on the craabing pages that it was due to fire risk? may be wrong tho.
