I've been filming around some jetties in the lower reaches of the Swan. I am amazed at how many fish are there.

I hope you enjoy the video.

nice vid mate, some of those

nice vid mate, some of those bream looked solid. What you refer to as a javelin fish looked to me like a luderick which I thought were only caught over east?

I hadn't seen one before.

I hadn't seen a Javelin fish before. I didn't know what it was. So I looked up species that I might find there and up game the Javelin fish. The image matches fairly well so I'm going with Javelin fish.

It was quite inquisative. It spied the camera, swam off, stopped checked out the camera then decided it wasn't another Javelin fish just it's reflection in the camera surround.

David

Great vid mate, plenty of life down there. Whats the hookup rate like haha? Would be good to see how the fish react to your baits/lures underwater. What camera set up r u using?

Good Question

Sat, 2015-03-28 23:03

My hook up rate at that locale,,,,,,, Zero! That's why I had to know what was under there. Blowies are prolific. Your bait doesn't get anywhere near the Bream. I've tried soft plastics. You know what blowies do to them. I've tried just about everything to no avail.

But every jetty I have filmed under has decent size Bream abounding. As you know they are hard to engage. For me it is jud=st good to see that our river is sustaining really good stocks of healthy fish.

Oh and the Camera is, Go Pro Hero 3 white in a underwater housing. Got it on special at Kmart. $269, including underwater housing, (60 metres). They may still be on special there.

Cheers,

David

Yeah, it's been a whole new world for me. I didn't know what was down there. I know they are there now. So all I need to do is learn how to land one,,, or two of the clever f76k3rs. Without interfearence of Blowies.

The Beat Goes On.

Nice video mate. Apparently there are more bream than blowies in the swan.  Just fickle smart bastards
