Fishwrecked Indoor Cricket
Well, the fishwrecked indoor cricket season got off to a flier. Our first pair made 48 and slapped the bowling around, unfortunately the slapping didn't continue through the next two pairs and there was a small but defendable 87 on the board.
Their first pair made 46, second pair made it to 76, with only 11 to win from their final pair off 6 overs we were a little worried, but still sniffed victory. After some tight bowling, awesome fielding, a magic catch at the back by Gribbo, we kept them with 16 to get off the last over. They managed to get within 6, but it wasn't enough, we came back from nowhere to snatch it, a great break in for the new team shirts! :)
A bye next week and easter monday the week after, so 3 weeks until the next game, hopefully we'll have another season opener like tonight.

We play up at Balcatta Seamers, been there for about 3 seasons. We were actually looking for a couple of players next week but had to ask for a bye because we weren't sure if we could get anyone to fill in.
If you want to have a game in future, let me know. If we are short and you can play then we will get you a game for sure.
We beat Hotbite in the season before lasts grand final, it was a draw and we won on countback, how sweet it was. :)

i'd be keen for a game, although i'll be veeery rusty, its, been a few years between drinks, and i'm certainly a lot more, shall we say, rotund than i used to be.......
But if you do need a fill in, keep me in mind(no guarantees that i'll be any good though

Does anyone on here play Superleague Indoor Cricket?
I've been playing for years now for Melville Striker, played Balcatta recently actually. Always good fun...shame we got pounded so visciously by Ballajura yesterday though.
