Denham fishing

We went up to Denham last week and the weather was pretty amazing for a few days, we found octopus the best bait but as for artificials smaller lightly weighted grub style stuff seemed to get a better quality of fish and no sharks, a few snip offs from the makeral but overall better than bait due to no sharks. 3/8th Oz jig heads with the old zman my go to. We went out with no marks and relied on the sounder, don't let the catfish scare you off as some of the best fish came from the same areas, 9-11M slow drift with some lumpy ground on sounder is all the advice I can give. No eskys full but a few decent fish and we were happy.

A couple of nice fish there. The blacks go very hard for their size and quite tasty as well.

Well done

We fished up there a few years ago, stayed in Denham and fished up to Turtle Bay and west side of DHI, pinks, spanish flag, pearl perch, rankin all the usual except we didnt land a blacky..

Took the trip out to Steep Point one day when it was blowing its arse off, magic out there, can't believe people will go to Monkey Mia but not make it out to Steep, their missing out.

Enjoy your charter Brock O.

From what I have heard Apache does quite well.

Would be interested to hear how it goes, if you get a chance maybe you could put up a few pics for us all.
