Exmouth for a beginner

Hey guys got three weeks off in august and thinking about dragging the boat upto exmouth. Not looking for spots but just general ideas of places to try for a 5m center console. Is the gulf better or Tantas side?

Wide range of options

One of the great things about Exmouth is you almost always have options.

On the Tantabidi side you can fish inside the reef, and if conditions are good it's only about 7-8 miles out to the marlin grounds.

On the gulf side there's reefs inside the gulf, sailfish during spring, Muiron Islands etc.

Blowing from the East fish Western side of the cape, blowing from the West fish the gulf. You don't have to travel too far from the ramps to have a good day on the water.

plenty of shoals in the gulf

plenty of shoals in the gulf that are worth a look. You could launch that size boat at Learmonth Jetty, drive up beach to the right of jetty, there should be a tyre on beach where you launch.
