Echo Sounder Preference - Help

'Ads I am looking to buy a new sounder for my boat and I have used a mates furuno sounder. Very good but don't know much about them. Any ideas or thoughts would be good.'
Firstly, i don't have a Furuno sounder, but know a few people who swear by them.. We have a Navman 4600 and its excellent.. Does anyone have a furuno sounder that can help out with any info?

ive just fitted a furuno FCV 600 to our boat. saturday was the first time we have had it out. i think its good, still picks up the bottom clearly at 15 kts. a bit harder to use than navman. you nearly need a universty degree to install the transducer. cheaper that a 4600 aswell.
