Discussion to pass the lockdown time

List the boat you owned for the least amount of time and why you sold

Boston whaler 240

Only had it for 2 years. Sold as kids lost interest and too expensive to go solo fishing in

Stessco Catcher 420 Yammie 30hp.

Five trips out in it over a three week period. Too small, not enough grunt to survive the tidal currents not really a good boat for up here. Replaced it with a Quinnie Coastrunner 500 with a 115 Optimax on the back. This boat well and truly ticks all the boxes.

Chivers Thunderbird

Sun, 2021-04-25 07:45

5.7 Chivers Thunderbird, had it for about 18 months, the previous owner had cut off the cabin and turned it into a runabout, found it to be a bit small for what I had in mind so off it went and a 6.1 Guardian came home.

 Little 4.9ish Barron centre

Mon, 2021-04-26 08:08

Little 4.9ish Barron centre console in the very early 2000's.

It was very light with a big flare and only had tote tanks. I lived in Dunsborough and used to fish the reefs in Geo Bay. If I got the bow too high coming home in to a SW, she would stand up in the air. Sold it for self preservation.
