I was just wondering what the rule is for collecting crabs for bait or a feed. Now im talking about those little black and brownish crabs that are all over the rocks at hillaries rock walls. The only reason i ask is because ive seen some unworthy methods of catching these little fellas over the last couple of outings when i have been there.

These methods include BBQ tongs, and nets. It happens to give me the shits a bit when you are trying to have a fish when you've got 10 little blokes running around you trying to catch them and they yell and carry on while catching endless amounts of these crabs no bigger than id say 100mm long, including leggs! I did ask one guy after yelling a little bit of abuse at him from getting in my way and knocking over my small tackle box!, what he was using them for and he said."a feed yeah".

Any info would be great so i might be able to educate these guys further (if they are in the wrong) than having to call sea rescue when there all in the water swimming for there lifes! JOKES! :)
