Loonies Beach
on Friday was washed out (Only half a beach there!), Weed everywhere as well. Not worth wasting the fuel.

I was up that way today for a wander. Despite everything, the conditions were somewhat favourable in more sheltered spots but the bad news is that the fish were not that interested. I must admit though that I fished after the high tide and pretty much in the middle of the day. Plenty of Buff Bream and Wrasse.
I ran into some friends up there who had been silly enough to camp over Saturday night and they experienced some rather inclement weather overnight and in the morning.
You're dead right about the beaches up there. The tide is very high ATM and the seas are big so no place for vehicles on the beach. I saw a lot of weed in the surf outside the reef and the wind is picking up again. Looks like the weed will come in for a while now.
The dog enjoyed the trip and so did I. Now I best head off back to the kitchen and get the roast chook sorted LOL.
